To stop or brake the leash, push the brake button down with your thumb.
To lock the brake in place, move the button forward with your thumb until it is secure.
Keep your thumb over the lock button for extra safety.

To release the brake, pull the lock button back.
To shorten the distance between you and your pet:
• Extend your arm and press the brake button.
• Move toward your pet and bring your arm to your side.
• Release the brake button and slowly move your arm toward your pet. Press the brake after the excess tape is recovered and repeat as necessary.
